Hey guys,

I came home this evening to the sound of dripping water. My home central AC unit was dripping water inside the return. I removed the filter and saw water dripping. There was a small puddle. I turned the unit off and called for service. I’m curious what can cause this to occur. Can someone please provide some possible causes?

I had my roof replaced a long with plywood sheathing and I’m wondering if the drain line is clogged with dust/dirt from this work,

Thank you.

I believe I found two problems. The drain inlet PVC pipe broke right at the AC connection. Also, as I suspected I can see debris in the pan from the roof work that is likely clogging the drain outlet. :(

I’m back in business. What I called an inlet PVC pipe was the outlet from the AC unit. That was replaced including the EZ trap.
