This is for our basement which has rough ins for a future kitchen sink, bathroom and a floor drain in the mudroom that's connected to an ejector pump. The other day, I poured some water into the floor drain and it backed up so I opened the ejector pump and realized that drain pipe inside the ejector pump is closed off.

I'd like to cut open that drain pipe so the drain flows into the ejector pump, I guess currently the only thing is connected to the ejector pump is a pipe coming from our tankless water heater.

How do I cut that drain pvc pipe since reaching will be a little difficult and does the inside of the ejector pump looks ok to you?

Appreciate your help

Just buy a cheapie oscillating saw from Walmart and it'll make easy work of the cutting. The inside of the pump looks fine. the waste pipe needs a check valve

Thank you, there is a check-valve on the outside, I think that's what you're referring.
