Hi,
I have a 3-ton Trane system and I have been getting drain clogs. I have already unclogged it and would like to add some tablets to help minimize the sludge formation. I opened the panel looking for the drain pan and this system seems to have a "sealed pan".. is that correct?
Does this mean I will not be able to use tablets in this system?

The model is
AIR HANDLER
MD # GAM5B0C42M

Also, I was told that these systems do not rust, but I see behind the plastic section highlighted in red, there is a screw that has some rust and also there is rust on the metal it's attached to. Is this normal?

I can't answer how to access the drain pan but I've had very good results taping a powerful shop vac hose onto the end of the condensate drain, taping up the vent at the trap then pouring hot water into the pan while the shop vac is running. Gets everything really clean.
