Hi,

I have the shower/tub setup pictured below which I'd like to replace with a new trim kit from Delta. Am I correct in assuming this is an old style valve? Will I need to replace the valve with the new rough-in? Or will the new cartridge work with the old valve body?

Here is the new Delta kit:

Here is the existing setup (installed around 2002):

Thanks for any help!

Your shower valve is the older Monitor. The cartridge in the kit you show will not fit but the trim will fit your valve. The only difference is the ORB sleeve will be a bit shorter. If you want to change your cartridge look for RP19804
