Hi, Need to replace these - I assume I'm looking at pipe with a female threaded end (house is copper pipe). So need to hold the pipe with a thin wrench while unscrewing the valve? The nut size seems to be about 15/16".
If the valve is male NPT I'm a little confused why it would be fully seated.
I made a small hole in the drywall and I can see that the valve has a threaded male inlet several inches long but the house copper pipe is sweated into the valve inlet. The valve (Oatey) does seem to screw into the pipe because the double nuts are not aligned but perhaps its no longer serviceable. So will have to cut out some drywall and remove. I have sweated pipe quite a bit but not sure what best practice is to remove and re-sweat. Is old solder on pipe OK, just treat it like new pipe and apply flux and sweat as usual?
Thanks
