Hey guys looking for some advice. I've got a home just my wife and I that was built in the mid-90s with the original classic old school drain field wirh corrugated pipe with a junction box over rocks with five Outlets. I've always had regular pump outs. It is completely water-soaked and will not accept any liquid ....at all. About 10 years ago it failed and backed up and I pumped out the liquid and cleared each of the five lines with a sewer Jetter nozzle removing all of the sludge and build up and it actually worked perfectly as new. I've tried it again this time and unfortunately it's not working. I've only worked on it for a few hours yesterday today we have very cold wet weather and I'm taking a break and I'll get back on it with the jetter but looking for some advice. Wondering if there is some type of chemical that can be poured directly into the J box to the distribution lines to maybe break up the clogs?
Any advice greatly appreciated!

Just an update as I am anxiously awaiting some expert advice. I have been sewer jetting the drain field lines from the distribution box for 2 days now. And have clear clean water in all of the pipes unfortunately it is still not draining in fact it's not draining at all! The septic tank is functioning perfectly normal scum later on top nice clean gray water coming out of the outlet pipe it's just as if the drain field has suddenly failed for some reason. I'm going to continue jetting it for another day or so and then I guess consider drain field replacement. I believe part of the problem is my neighbor is building a new house a very very large two-story house and there is now a gigantic concrete slab directly next to me whereas before his house had a crawl space so now all that water has to go somewhere and we have had a considerable amount of rain. I will post back any results

Well no one is clamoring with any suggestions but I'm trying to keep this lame post alive
Today was day three with the sewer jetter still no progress this thing will just not absorb any water at all. It's just unbelievable. I am using a fixed orifice jetter and I just ordered a rotating jetter which apparently I read on another site is what you need to really break up the silt that accumulates in the slits I will report back after I get that tomorrow.

I am watching with interest, but have no knowledge of how to fix this. You are saying that your pipe has slots rather than holes.
