Bit of a strange one.
At the end of the cycle, my dishwasher is not draining
The line has a high loop for the air gap.
To solve,
- I took the hose off the drain connector
- I turned on the pump manually on the cycle
- nothing came out
- I lowered the hose to ground level
- turned on the pump
- water came out
- I raised the hose to sink level and water kept coming out

This sounds just like a vacuum lock but it's happening each time.

Any ideas what to do?
There is about 2 ft of hose after the high loop, could that be causing the problem?

Pinched drain line?

If this never worked, you may have not removed the knock-out before you connected the drain line to the disposal.

It's worked for years. Not pinched because it is draining when I disconnect

So it could become un-pinched as you pull it away to drain elsewhere
The branch that you connect the drain hose to could be blocked.

plugged at airgap? remove hose check that its free. the 2 foot hose if plugged would cause water to gush out airgap? wording of your post makes me not 100 percent clear it has an airgap. typically pointless to put a high loop if you got the airgap fitting.
