Recently I replaced a well water pump, the water had sediments in before. Prior to new pump, I would change the filter on the incoming water every 2 months, now I am finding that I have to change it every week. The pump is at the same depth as it was before, about 125 feet below ground. The new pump is 1/2 hp, better than before, 1/3 hp. The new pump was installed in November 2011, I thought the problem would go away cause the new pump disturbed the sediments when we pulled out the old pump. I use a GE household filter 1-5 microns. The problem is dirty water & costly filters. Water pressure is fine until the filter gets clogged. solutions??

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
