Did I make a mistake not buying the 10% crosslink resin?

No problem at all. 8% will not last as long as 10% but as long as your resin is truly 8% and not a 7%, it should last for many years.

I thought it would be a waste spending money on something I didn't need. Damn water company. How much longer would a 10% last?
