Did I damage the release valve?

Hi guys,

In trying to get the shower working I turned on the water inlet to the boilers, we have 2, in the house. The plumber came out and said I had blown both release valves although there was no flooding of the property.

Is it possible to have blown them by opening the inlet and from what he says flooding the tanks?

I am no expert on this so was hoping for an expert opinion of some kind. Wont hold you to it.

Water heaters? Does the valve look like this if it does relief opens by one of two ways 7 bars or 90c. 101 lbs/ 194*
Might have tripped from a pressure surge if its not leaking should be ok.
