My main question is, my softener did a regen with the inlet valve closed and outlet valve open. Did that damage anything?
I was gone from the house for a few weeks so I shut the water off. On the water softener I closed both the incoming and outgoing water valve. When I got home yesterday some how I only opened the outgoing water valve. I noticed when I showered this morning that the water felt partially hard, so I went and checked the softener and realized that the incoming water valve was still closed. Did that do any damage?
Or can I just open the valves and do another regen and that will get things back to normal? I know I still need to work that hard water out of the pipes, but is it ok to just do another regen, or was something damaged by what happened?
