Since my recent upgrade to tankless heater I reclaimed some space in my utility room and decided to install water softener and dechloraminator. So I got all the main parts (smart valve and filter/softener) and now researching on how to put everything together.

I'm quite decent DIYer but here getting a bit confused by NPSM/NPT thing and locating fittings which would do exactly what I need in one step.

The reason I want to use Flex Connecters - my utility room space is quite limited and it will be really tough to use pex/pvc piping, I also want to have ability to move filter/softener tanks by a few inches if required later on.

So far I come up with the following diagram, I would appreciate if anyone can tell me if there are any obvious mistakes or if anything can be done easier..
