Just had this installed, and I want to increase the max hot temperature.

    I have the instructions:
page 7 item 4 "installation & adjustment of the rotational limit stop" :::
(C2 is for my style of cover)
"secure the temp control knob (1) w/ screw (2). Hook (3) front of temp control cover (4) onto knob (1) before engaging rear snap (5)."

3 and 5 are projections that need to be engaged in proper sequence when pushing the cover down onto it.

So how do I "unsnap" the cover without breaking these projections? Do I push the cover sideways leftwards towards 3 and then pull the other side towards me ?

The instructions as written are terse, I think it means:
Secure the temp control knob (1) with the screw.
The knob has two projections, (3) on the right, and (5) on the left.
Hook the right side of the control knob (4) over projection (3).
Then snap the left side of knob (4) down over projection (5).

I don't want to do this the wrong way and break something.
Wish it had a setscrew like normal hardware...

I believe you can just wiggle it off and on. That's what I've done.

FYI just did this today. There is a little rebate to insert a screwdriver or pick and pull it off. However it came off easily with fingernails, and it would be easy to scratch the finish with a metal tool.

Thanks everybody. I'll try to get to it this weekend.

I just did this today as well. After an embarrassing amount of time looking for a set screw and searching the internet, I finally figured it out... and then found this page. Lol! Good info though, thanks.
