Hey, sorry I missed your reply. I’ve been investigating this with multiple sources, and I’m about to report this to federal-level authorities. I spoke with the manufacturer and the state authorities, and I’m fairly certain that someone jumped the safety sensors inside the boiler to keep it running without reporting errors. The APS sensor must have been illegally bypassed, as the boiler is currently permanently showing APS as closed regardless of whether the boiler is idle or running.

The primary air intake port was blocked 100% on this sealed-combustion unit, yet the boiler continued running for almost six weeks. This physical impossibility strongly indicates that someone manipulated the sensors inside this brand-new b
Never have seen a air pressure sensor that is either failed closed or jumped that wouldn't be in a failure once it satisfied by the thermostat then get a call for heat and not fail. The burner control is made to look at safeties both ways. When not calling and not in sequence for startup. Burner running with no air would be full of soot blocked solid and would probably fail before it got that for. Black smoke would be billowing out the flue and stink. The flame would be lazy and wouldn't think it would even support a flame. Never seen this brand but the install manual post 2 the right of the flue is a combustion air opening with a option for the left of the flue with a disk that has to be cut out with a note they ony want one opening not both.

Hey, yes, that’s exactly why I’m questioning whether someone may have done something to the control board as well. As ridiculous as it sounds, my NTI TRX120 boiler is permanently showing an APS status of 1/ON (which means closed), regardless of whether the boiler is running or idle. This has been validated by the manufacturer’s online support at least three times, yet the boiler has been running with no error codes. The APS status will never show 0/OFF (open)

I believe not only that the APS was jumped, but that someone also tampered with the board. During the installation, there was mention of “getting a board” from the manufacturer, which in retrospect sounds extremely suspicious, and I am now asking the authorities to step in.

Now, the air intake cap is indeed removed, but that piece of plastic was sealing the entire boiler for six weeks, and it still kept running.

They had heat. Post1 11°td across boiler 164° 153°. Post 2 io manual. Home owner thought the boiler was running for 6 weeks with no combustion air.
