I just replaced the heating element didn’t have it tight enough. A small amount of water leaked below the element inside the tank. I tightened the element and it’s not leaking now. It doesn’t seem to be a lot of water, mostly the insulation is damp. Will the damp insulation be a problem, it safe to turn the power on?
Thank you in advance.

Thank you, it’s almost dry now, is it safe to turn the power back on. Hate to sound paranoid, but my husband, who normally handles this passed away in December. I’ve watched him change a element in the past, and I just want to make sure.
