On the right is a 1/2 cpvc CTS to 1/2 stainless mnpt fitting. The left is a typical 1/2 pvc slip union. The cpvc fits into the pvc union snugly, there is some raised lettering on the cpvc side but I was planning to sand it down. I use the weld-on purple primer and weld-on orange cement which is listed for both cpvc and pvc use. This is a transition from 1/2 pvc to a galvanized leg where I have a metal vacuum breaker and electronic valve, Im building an automated pool fill setup.

Is there any reason these can't be solvent welded together?
