My code-check book indicates that it is not allowed under UPC. A contractor used it to make a new gas service branch in our house in Seattle where the UPC is used. Am I in violation now?

It is used in Seattle.

You did get a gas piping permit, right?

After the inspector takes a look at it, you should have a signed off permit.

Thanks!

I took out a permit to add a whole new branch of piping and this job was just a part of it. So I haven't called for an inspection just yet. Its a remodel and I have to close up and cover sections before it is totally complete. I assumed I could call for an inspection when I'm ready to close the first section and then get a staged signoff? The city implied that I could do that. Is this correct?

Thanks Terry!
