Copper Water Valve you perfer?

The local hardware store has 2 types

there a valve with copper fittings at both ends that tighting to the pipe

then theres the valve with rubber like ends? that you need a special "C" like tool to remove it.


Which one do you perfer? the second one cost about 5 buxs more....

heres a pic of the first one...i couldnt find a pic of the second...

I prefer sweat-on fittings and valves. The one you pictured is a compression fitting and is frequently used by plumbers. The other one is a Sharkbite. Sharkbite fittings and are a relatively new product. They do seem to work OK, but no long term data is available yet.
