I am plumbing my bathroom in copper. I would like to extend the water about 20 feet someday for a laundry upstairs. What is the best way to add a stub to the copper so i can tie in later. I do not think i would be able to later add a tee due to tight space and the drain pipes.

Would a 4" piece of copper and a valve at the end be ok or is that an issue with dead ends for Legionnaires' disease?

I also am thinking of maybe putting in a bronze tee with sweat, sweat, FIP, and a plug in the FIP threaded section which i could thread in a future run at a late date.

thank you. This site is very valuable!

Legionnaires is an airborne pathogen. You do not get it from the water supply. Copper stub out is not a problem, it's done all the time.
