Hi,

I just wanted to seek advice from seasoned plumbers working with copper.
I'm wondering if a copper pipe is not "fully" inserted in the fitting, is it a huge issue?

My fittings have 0.75" insert depth. This is for 3/4 copper pipe diameter.
However, due to tube cutting errors, I have a case where the pipe is about 2mm (5/64") from being "fully inserted".
So instead of being inserted the full 0.75" it is inserted at a depth of about 0.67".

Would you be fine soldering it and trusting it?

By the book you should seat the pipe fully in the fitting, but in reality, 2mm short isn't really going to compromise the possibility of solder failure due to pipe flex.
