When connecting two horizontal drain lines, or a trap arm to a horizontal drain, using a wye fitting can the fitting be horizontal or does it need to be rolled up some?

So can the short leg of the fitting be perfectly horizontal, does it need to be tilted up, or tilted up just to take into account the 1/4" per ft slope of the other line tying in? I'm trying to tie a 1.5" tub trap arm into a 2" horizontal drain line.

IF we knew more about the line you were connecting it would help, because it can be done either way, depending on conditions. However, under some conditions, again depending on what you are connecting, it cannot be done at all.

2" horizontal waste line which tees into 3" stack. Above the tee on the stack, 3" vent to roof. Below that tee on the stack is a Wye for the toilet line. Bottom of the stack goes into combo and out the foundation. Plan is to tie shower (2") and tub (1.5") into a 2" horizontal drain line, with vertical vents off the horizontal drain line for the tub and shower. Seperate vents as they are 5' and 11' away from main stack respectively).

Off WHICH drain line? Not the 2" because at least one would be useless.
