I have a propane line running from a 250 gallon tank that feeds my house stove/oven (inside) that also has a couple connectors available for outside use as well. There's a regulator in line before the connections so I'm not using a regulator on the line running to my grill. It works fine so I'm assuming all is well, although I hadn't considered that I might need something different until recently.
I'm looking to add a fire table using the other available connection. The fire table came with a dual acme connection that utilizes two tanks at once, although it functions with just one without issue. Of course there's a regulator in line. So, when I connect to the residential propane tank, would I want to remove the regulator or would it be better/safer to use the regulator that came with the unit. Is there an issue with using a serving regulator? The fire pit regulator is much smaller, physically, than the in line unit from the tank so I started wondering if it might be necessary for the fire pit. Thoughts?
Thanks in advance.
