Condensation or Leak?

Recently installed a hybrid electric heat pump water heater. Noticed a run down the side of the tank and found water at the (side exit) hot water outlet (pictured). Is this a leak issue or a condensation issue? Suggestions on resolving? Thanks!

Can't tell from the pic. A close up inspection by a trained pro is needed to determine the source of the water.

Heat pump water heaters are designed to collect and dispose of condensate off the coils (it's basically a dehumidifier.) If the drain is clogged or the pan that collects the condensate has a leak you could end up with a drip like that.
