I have a Moen 2570 shower valve with a bottom connection for tub. However, this valve is going to be installed in a shower stall without a tub. I want to know the best way to cap this off with a solder joint connection. I thought about just using a piece of copper pipe and pipe cap. However, I am concerned that the water in this short piece of pipe will always be there once the shower comes into operation. Is there a possibility bacteria or sand may eventually find its way in this stagnant water and cause problems?
