What is the process to rebed a stacked tank water softener with the plate ? it’s a Caresoft elite rc, also is it possible just to rebed the resin and not use coconut carbon ?

If you want to remove the carbon only you can lay the tank on its side and rinse the carbon out with a garden hose (make sure to cover the distributor tube first). The company that used to make the extractor was bought out by Nelsen, not sure if you as a homeowner will be able to purchase the tool.
You may be able to make something yourself.
You dont need to use carbon if you don't want to. Typically the carbon will increase the life of the resin if you are on chlorinated water supply.
