We've had alot of rain. The sump pump is coming on quite often but at the end I hear a loud clunk noise. I never noticed it being so loud before. It must be working because the water isn't backed up. It's a concern for me....

Leading out of the sump pump is a check valve to prevent undue cycling of the pump. Once you pump the water up, you want it to stay up. That means the pipe will remain full above the check valve. That clunk is the flap on the check valve slamming shut. It could be that the pipes are getting some movement when that happens too. A quick look will determine that, and if they are loose and hitting something, you can tie them down some.
