LOOK at the sweep and then consider that it is original built in 1952 and the stoppage was was between the 1st floor and lobby so IF he had someone one floor below the damage would not have been so severe

I'm glad I'm not plumbing in New York. Though our skyline is starting to look similar. Years ago during a wind storm, a building manager went up on a highrise roof to batten down things and a gust of wind blew him over the edge. I've been on a few roofs like that, but on days without wind.

I had install several roof drains on this building and they said I had to carry 20 million dollar rider because of the artwork below

Several plumbing contractors were called to give an estimate I was the only one who showed up
