I got a Water Right IM-1054 with a Clack WS1 from my neighbor. I replaced the media and programmed it according to Water Right instructions. It seems to be working fine, except the flow meter is consistently reading 0.63X the city water meter (+/- but this is an average). I replaced the flow meter with a new unit, but this offset remains.
I believe it is a WS1 due to the black side plug and I think I remember seeing a gray stack when I was putting it together.
The only water that does not go through the softener is the hose bibs, which I'm careful to exclude from the measurements.
I tried validating both meters by filling a 5 gallon bucket, but both registered 5 gallons usage. The differential quoted is over longer periods (about hundred+ gallons).
The 0.63X is about the ratio of the area of a 1":1.25" pipe. I don't know if this is significant, but it's something I noticed (mentioning because the WS1 and WS 1.25 have much commonality).
I'm using 9 lbs salt and only getting 1150 gallons of soft water (according to flow meter), which is less than the approx 1600 expected with the 1.5 cu ft capacity. The city water meter volume would match the expected yield pretty well.
As I continue investigating, my main question is: Are there any settings within the WS1 that adjusts/calibrates the signal from the flow meter? I haven't excluded other things yet, but I want to make sure I'm not missing a setting.
Thanks
