Hello. A friend of mine here in Canada recently purchased and took delivery of a tiny home that was manufactured in China. I agreed to help with the plumbing, thinking it would be straightforward.
At the back of the home, sticking out horizontally, was a 4" PVC pipe, a 1-1/2" PVC pipe (grey water?) and two 3/4" PVC pipes, one with a blue collar and one with a red collar.
The first thing I tried was a standard 4" PVC drain 90 on the 4" pipe. The pipe was too big and would not go into the fitting. Same with the 1-1/2" pipe. The 3/4" pipes have a flange fitting glued to them with a brass collar, the likes of which I have never seen before. I measured the outside of the 3/4" pipe with a dial caliper and found it to be a couple of thousandths over 1 inch in outside diameter. I found an American 3/4" pipe to be much larger in outside diameter.
Are there adaptors available that allow a person to go from Chinese sizes to American sizes?
