I have a Delta single handle tub and shower trim kit. It's an old style handle that I don't like. I'd like to change just the handle part and the shower head. Can I buy a shower trim kit that has just the matching handle and shower head to replace those existing parts? and leave the tub spout as is?

Delta has made several valve bodies over the years. Posting a picture here may help to identify what you have. You can pick up new trims for those.
The tub spout can stay. The shower arm is a standard 1/2" IP thread size. Totally interchangeable with new stuff.

Make sure you stay with a Delta kit, not an after market maybe it fits maybe not product.
