Hello - Does anyone know how hard or easy it would be to change out the Apollo Hydroheat system? There are two gas water heaters that heat water and are integrated with the HVAC system so the water runs through coils to heat the house.

It was installed maybe 20 years ago and one of the water heaters just died Rather than tyring to nurse it along, we'd like to get rid of it and just have a stand alone water heater and furnace. No one we've contacted knows anything about this system and the company is no longer around so no clue where the coils are or how to cleanly separate the two.

Has anyone worked with this Apollo Hydroheat system and successfully changed it out for a standard set up?

Find plumbers who specialize in swapping equipment, get more than one estimate, and get it done.
A boiler would be a good replacement.
You may want to search for a plumber outside your area, who will be willing to come and do it for you. Birmingham is not such a small town.
