LOL.

I meant a cable operated chandelier lift that is mounted in the attic and lowers the chandelier for cleaning and maintenance.

Haven't you watched any old western or Zorro movies? They lift them with a rope over a pulley then tied to a railing. Great for swinging into battle or escaping an angry mob.
