I’m installing a new ceiling fan. The fan and light have separate wall switch’s. The fan has two switch’s, one by the front door and another one across the room by the kitchen. The light has one by the kitchen. I wouuld like for the light to be the one with the two switch’s. Could I just swap the red and black wires coming from the ceiling? or does the black wire have to go the the fan? I would tape these off with color tape to let future electricians/do it yourselfers know they’ve been swapped.
