Hi, my name is Dave. I was hoping you guys would be able to help me out here. I'm doing a side job in a client's basement but they decided to remove there driveway. The driveway pitched 45 degrees down about 15 feet to the house so all the storm water would fall into this concrete Strom drain. They leveling off the driveway now so this storm is no longer needed. This storm is around 15" wide. Im honestly not sure how Im supposed to cap this thing. I can't get any band from supply house that size. Only other thought it maybe plastic and tapconned plywood then covered with the ten feet of dirt. Even that sounds a little hacky...I dunno. I sent a link if you wanna take a look at the pic. Tks.

It seems like a shame to just cap this and bury it. Where does the water into that pit go?

I presume you plan to build a waterproof wall where the garage door now is. It would be nice to be able to use that pit as a perimeter drain that prevents water pressure that pushes into the basement.

Although that driveway was steep, it was not nearly 45 degrees.

Hey, wait a minute.

This is awkward, but...
