Can't Remove Faucet Bonnet, Seized on Marble Countertop

Hello and thank you for this forum.

We have a Newport Amisa widespread lavatory faucet 1020 which is about 17 years old, with a bonnet that is seized to the thread and to the marble countertop.

I have read through many answers here suggesting CLR and /or vinegar, but I also read that those would etch the marble.

We have the needed cartridge, but we can not loosen the bonnet.

We are not professionals, and would like to be able to fix this ourselves, especially due to the current quarantine issues.

Your suggestions are greatly appreciated! Thank you!

This is awkward, but...
