Basically my issue is getting them to fill evenly and shut the unit down when full. They are set level to each other. 3/4 feed . At 4 to 8 gpm. If I connect to two tanks at the bottom with a tee to a shut off. Then to transfer pump ect. Say with a 1 1/2 or two inch line, would I be able to get the tanks too fill evenly and shut down the reverse osmosis unit with only one float switch?

One upper float is sufficient. I would also suggest a lower float (normally open) to protect the pump from running dry if the water in the tanks get too low
