I'm replacing an old open sump pit (two chimney tiles, actually) with a real ABS pit and sealed lid while building out a new basement bathroom in the area adjacent. I'd like to have discrete eject and vent penetrations and have purchased a lid that allows that. The only problem is that it's a brick house and I'd like to minimize the holes cut into a finished patio area.
If I'm already putting in a dry vent for the plumbing group in the basement, is it permissible to tie the sump vent into it or is there some rule that precludes doing so since the vent wouldn't drain to sewer?
