Can I use a threaded adapter to replace an flow control piece on a tub spout to be able to connect an NPT fitting to it?

I'm currently planning out a bathroom rebuild.
One of the things I'd like to add is a better ability to bathe our dogs (GSD) indoors. The restricted flow in the hand shower heads means it takes forever to penetrate the dual coat.
Outdoors this is easy; as I have a spray adapter that screws on to the hose spigot. (https://www.tsbrass.com/products/pet-grooming/pet-grooming-products/PG-35AV-CH01).
I would like to be able to use this with my new tub spout to get a full flow; not a restricted one. It looks like (looking at this one, for example - but open to other brands/models : https://www.grohe.us/tub-fillers/tub-spout/grohe-brushed-nickel-13305en0) I could replace the flow control piece at the end (https://www.grohe.us/bathroom-faucet-fittings-and-spare-parts/flow-control/grohe-chrome-13952000) with an adapter that would allow me to connect to the 1/4 NPT threading on the hose (https://www.tsbrass.com/files/drawings/SALESDWG/013539-45.pdf#view=Fit)

Obviously I need to make sure that my thermostatic valve can pass the full flow through to the tub spout; but we needed that anyway to be able to fill the tub.
Is this going to work the way I think it will? Is there a better way to accomplish this? Any other suggestions/ideas are very welcome.

I see no reason to think your hose adapter will screw on to a tub spout ? I assume it dosent I dont think we use flow restrictors on tub spouts aerator maybe but thats not going to be universal to a Lavatory Contact Manufacture but I sure dont think so Im not scared to say I could be wrong
