I can't find any identifying markings on this fiberglass tub/shower which was bought and installed in 1979, but there are some numbers stamped upside down in one of the upper corners. I think they read "AG609 38277". I'd also like your recommendation for a tub stopper. It looks like the diameter should be 1-3/4". I know the 2" Danco #88599 won't fit, and I'm not a fan of plastic posts.

That is probably an Aqua Glass tub and shower unit.... I installed hundreds of them
For the tub drain you will probably be wist to just go to target and buy yourself a
plain old laundry tub stopper and forget about it.....
you can chisel out that brass drain and install a new one if you have the ability to
do this......
I would just but the plug for 3 bucks

I don't have that ability, and I'd like a chromed brass stopper to match the fixtures.

anything is possible .... go out to the hardware stores and scour them for something
that will attach to those threads in the bottom of the strainer.....
I know a white stopper made of rubbber is the most easy choice
