Installed a fleck 5600sxt three months ago...two people, hardness 15. Noticed that when we add a bag of crystal salt
that it disolves and we end up with about a foot of water in the brine tank...believe we should have about three inches of water and the salt should not all disolve...need some help...thanks

What is your BF setting?

Look for a sticker identifying the BLFC (brine level fill control) button rating. What does yours say? View attachment 22481

You are not using pellet salt made for water softeners? How big are your bags?

A foot of water sounds normal for a 5600sxt with a post fill set up. The only wa to have only 3" of water is a prefill set up. The water will only dissolve 3 lbs of salt per gallon.
