Why does my brine tank go dry. If I manually regen the system water does go back into the brine tank. I just don’t think it puts enough water back into the tank. Is the float just for overflow prevention?

We need some information about your system. What valve, what programming etc. Some systems fill an hour or two before the regen, others after. Some systems use a float fill, others use timed fill.
