hello, I am installing a Kohler K-2976 3/4" thermostatic valve with volume control. the valve has two outlets. the top is controlled by the volume control. the bottom is not. the instruction say that another volume control is needed, which makes sense, however, they also say that it is intended for bath only. why? what would happen if I sent the bottom port to a 1/2" volume control and connected that to a hand shower?

thanks!
