Hi. This could be long but this is strange. But I wounder how this could happen and if someone else find this fishy.
Three days after a company hydrojetted the pipes my apartment and 11 other apartments got flooded. I got pitch black sewage water from my floor drain in the shower that filled my whole apartment on the first floor.
My landlord got a company (I will call it R) to hydrojet the pipes and three days after that I woke up one morning and my apartment was full of black water to my ankles. My landlord blamed my neighbours upstairs for flushing down cat litter. But none of them owns a cat. On that day my landlord sent another company (that I will call S). I asked S how this could have happened and they said that the company R had forgotten to close the hatches. What kind of hatches I didn't get to know. I called my landlord to say that the company R had made an mistake with the hatches. So I asked my landlord if they knew this so they would not blame my neighbours for something they haven't done. S hydrojetted the pipes again and at the same time they did that one of my neighbours in the house opposed to mine 2 stairs up begun to have water comming up from his floor drain in the shower too. When It was done I called my landlord again to ask what really happened and they continued to say it was cat litter thou I said none above me owns a cat. It was almost like the gaslighted me (and I got more of that later) The next morning my bathroom was filled with water again. This time they sent R back instead. They hydrojetted again and filmed the pipe. I asked them about the hatchets they had forgotten but they just blamed my neighbours too, but this time it was baby wipes And I said none of my uppstairs neighbours has a baby or owns a cat I know them. Becouse now it wasn't just my apartment that smelled fishy. This whole situation begun to get fishy. After this a guy came over from a building company to discuss how I would move my things for them so they could rip of the walls and the floor. My stupid landlord thought I still could live there while they did that and the builder made it clear that I could not live there while they did that. And what he also tells me is that 11 more apartments got flooded the same day as mine. But my was the worst becouse I was asleep and lived on the first floor when it happend. So because of the fishy smell this gave me I actually called S that told the thing about the hatchets. And I actually could take to the boss there. He didn knew what hatchets his employee had talked about and he was not allowed to tell me about what happend but he told me that something had gone wrong when R hydrojetted the pipes and that there was a build up of rust that should not be there after a flushing. And then he told med that my landlord just had said to them to "Let it go" when they were about to come back to my house becouse one of my neighbours got problem with their drain too. I have never had any problems with my drains or my neighbours for those 6 years I lived there. So what in the world did happend? Did my land lord have some sort of business deal with R or was this some kind of insurance fraud? Would my landlord get better pay off from the insurance if they blamed my neighbours instead of the company R?
