Hello TerryLove members,

I have this black particles flecks specs residue coming from hot water only all around the house.

There are copper pipes everywhere for hot and cold water
Black stuff comes in all faucets in the house only with hot water.

Please check pictures(click to zoom in) for more information.

Can you please tell me how to fix it?

Change the flexible hoses on your WH to corregated stainless steel or copper rather than those hoses, which have a plastic/rubber core.

Time to change the Sharkbite connectors. There are dozens of posts "on black particles in our water" .

We live in a condo and have no access to those hoses... it only happens in the tub and maybe once a month... Black smeary specks... Some people are complaining of water temp being too hot. Could that cause the deterioration? Any thoughts?

What temperature is the water that "some people" consider too hot?

Not quite sure. I searched for the post where someone actually mentioned the temperature and couldn't find it. They claimed that our water is set to commercial temperature and he's told management it's too hot and they lower it but everytime the condo plumbers come to fix stuff they put it back to "really hot". We will get steam if we turn bath sink to hot and let it run a while...

We set our water heaters just a tad above the preset setting on electric heaters....
People are looking to sue one another over anything these days and its wiser to
keep the temp no more than 130.. You crank that thing up to 140 or 150 and
their is always someone out there looking to do a frivilous lawsuit on you if they
can claim their child was scalded because of you...

They even leave the factory set on low for this reason and have an inspector mark each
rating tag with a marker just to verify it went out on low.....for this reason....

just change out the flex lines on the heater and flush out the unit and the problem will go away
