I've decided to go with Sch 40 PVC as my water supply replacement line, buried about 18" deep. Connections at both ends (meter valve and riser) have 1" FPT. Will a direct connection with a threaded nipple provide a robust design to handle misalignment and other stresses on the pipe, or is there a smarter way to do this?
