I think I have a backdraft from sewer vent on roof. Ive replaced most plumbing and still smell sewer gas. Mostly outdoors. I dont have a septic tank. I already put pcv extensions but that did nothing. I want to put a charcoal filter on the stacks on the roof. What do you recommend?

Dang -- sorry to hear that your problems continue.

A charcoal filter cannot help you IMHO. If there is a flow down, the filter would be passing fresh air. If there is a flow up, the filter would only affect odors at the roof and not at the ground.

If you lay some Saran Wrap over the vent temporarily, you could see it go convex or concave if there is a pressure that I think you suspect.
