I just glued up the overflow to the santee and the gasket isn't anywhere close sealing the overflow. I've installed this exact same bathtub / overflow combo 2x in the last few years. No issue. I've got the thick part of the gasket at the top as per the instructions. Scratching my head right now. Maybe a poorly shaped gasket?
The pipe from the overflow to the santee is a hair off plumb. Nothing that should cause an issue.
