Hi again,
I'm still working out the fine details of my bathroom DWV plan and would like to hear your thoughts on the "best" way to plumb a soaking tub/shower combo:
1) since the waste/overflow units are 1-1/2" do you keep with the 1-1/2" pipe until joining the main drain?
2) or do you switch over to 2" before the p-trap for faster drainage &/or easier snaking &/or future proofing (say, switching over to shower only)?
3) do you prefer to install glued up schedule 40 pipe or slip joints?
4) do you like the flexible systems like the Watco Innovator Flex?
5) do you prefer direct drain to the standard elbow and sanitary tee setup?
6) what's your favorite tub stopper system (cable, foot actuated, lift & turn, push pull, trip lever, etc.)
Thanks in advance for your advice! I had no idea that there were so many decisions to make in just this one small part of the bathroom!
