Hi all,
I am planning on putting a bathroom in my basement however the house only has a single 2" vent pipe going into the master bathroom upstairs and I want to branch off of that vent, run it down to the basement and use it for the new bathroom.

Please see the attached image for my current plan. In the image the grey bits already exists in the house and the green is what I am going to add.

Note that the shower will be close enough to the Saniflo to not require it's own vent as will the sink to the up flow pump.

I live in Maine so the code is UPC I believe.

Thank you in advance!!
Rob

Saniflo needs to be pre approved and are only to be used if gravity isn't available under the UPC. You should either have a plumbing inspector approve your install or use a gravity system.

That said the vent for a pumped system either needs to be separate from the gravity system or as close to the roof pennatration as possible.
