Hi,
We are finishing up our bathroom remodeling and need to add in the ceiling fan to exhaust the moist air. The contractor doing the job thought he could just go out the soffits but no way that will work. So its out through the roof. The roof vent he bought(NuTone) is made for the bathroom fans and sold in our local stores. But when I saw it I was stunned it was only 6" tall.
We can get that much(and alot more) snow on the roof during big storms and I'm worried it will be covered with snow and not let the fan vent properly. Am I missing something here as i do see homes here with these small vents or should I look for a taller roof vent?
